Last month, a local New York tv station surveyed 130 New York bloggers about their blogging habits. Here are some of the interesting findings:
- 61% considered themselves part time vs 22% full time
- 60% blog at least once per day
- 81% have been blogging for at least a year
- only 17% make $1000/month or more from their blogs
The survey didn’t name who the “130 of New York’s most-read blogs” were, nor did it mention how much traffic they were getting or how they monetized their blogs.

“…the people who write more than 130 of New York’s most-read blogs came to our station,…”
Only 17% of those “New York’s most-read” blogs make $1,000 or more per month blogging?
No wonder there’s so many pi**ed off bloggers who hate corporate America. They’re failures at making money.
