Google Dominance: 3 Major Deals in August

Google just keeps on expanding. The search giant has announced three major deals over the last few days. Here’s the rundown:

  1. Google will be the exclusive search engine for News Corp’s MySpace.com and its sibling sites in Fox Interactive Media. The deal – as long as the sites provide the traffic, Google guarantees $900 million in profits.
  2. Google will be distributing Viacom video clips including MTV ads in its Adsense Network. This looks like good news for the millions of adsense participants, who will now have another way to make money through Google.
  3. Google will be licensing news articles from the Associated Press to complement Google News.

It will be interesting to see how Yahoo and Microsoft respond in the upcoming weeks.
